The study aims to improve environment and the living conditions of the housing estate Liščí Kopec. Northern outskirts of the estate comprises of the multi-storey residental structures from the 80´s of the 20th century.

The most attention is paid to the adjustment of insufficient traffic linkage of the northern part of Dukelská street, increasement of the parking capacity for residents and pedestrian connection adjustment between the housing estate and Nerudova street.

Based on the analysis of current and forward-looking state of the area in terms of transportation links and stationary traffic the fundamental need for changes arrises. The original concept of one-sided connection of blind Dukelská street appeared to be unsustainable and led to the joint with Školní street using the temporary roadway.

The intention to transform grassy areas between Školská street and high-rise development along Dukelská street into the leasure facilities assumes cancellation of the existing concrete panel path and its replacement with more suitable solution. The entire area is diagonally crossed by the busy pedestrian path, connecting the housing estate with public amenities in Nerudova street and further to the city center.

The proposal includes:
– Analysis and assessment of the current conditions
– Alternative solutions of the transport connection
– Parking capacity increasement
– Adjustment of the pedestrian linkage with Nerudova Street
